Health Promotion Research Center

Health Promotion Research Center affiliated with the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences in 2005 with a community-based approach to identify community health problems; It was established to provide solutions and follow-up to solve them through public participation. In this regard, empowering people interested in familiarity with applied research to solve health-related problems through training workshops to learn how to express and provide solutions to problems and transfer knowledge of their experience to other people And social groups, the research-based problem-solving approach should be institutionalized in society.

Since 2008, the activities of the center have been based on a research-based approach based on the activities of the center members to identify and solve community health problems. In 2009, the Health Promotion Research Center succeeded in obtaining a principled agreement from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. In 2012, the center succeeded in approving the publication of the English language magazine Vision of Health as a quarterly. In July 2013, the final agreement of the center was extended for five years.

From the second semester of 2012, the center started accepting Ph.D. students in the fields of epidemiology, health education and health promotion, occupational health, and environmental health. The adult and eye health cohort study was approved in 2014 and the national cohort study began in October 2015. In 2016, Health Vision Magazine was awarded the ISI index.

Also in 1396, the Health Promotion Research Center succeeded in obtaining the final approval of the Deputy Minister of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. The center seeks to explore related issues in the field of health promotion and social determinants of health at the regional and national levels with an interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach in the fields of education, research, and counseling.
